I’m Arpon, from Bangladesh — a Computer Science graduate on paper and I traveler at heart. I find joy in building intelligent systems as much as I do in exploring new places, cultures and foods.

I completed my B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering from NIT Trichy, India in August 2024. I was a recipient of the ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations) scholarship in 2020. During my undergraduate studies, I interned at IIT Bombay's MeDAL Lab, where I worked on contrastive learning methods for self-supervised image representation learning. Currently, I am working as a Research Assistant at the Advanced Machine Intelligence Research Lab (AMIR Lab) .

My primary interest lies in designing efficient and robust model architectures that can learn meaningful representations across diverse modalities. Lately, I have been drawn to language modeling, with a focus on enhancing reasoning capabilities and trustworthiness through hallucination/bias mitigation and retrieval-augmented generation. My long term goal is to develop AI systems with human-level reasoning and grounded intelligence, capable of trustworthy autonomous decision-making. When I'm not working, you’ll probably find me solving problems on LeetCode or Deep-ML.
